The Elrond network is a public blockchain. It provides high transaction throughput through its adaptive state sharing system. This allows transactions to be processed quickly by multiple validators. While Bitcoin can only handle a maximum of seven transactions per second (without a software overlay), Elrond claims to be able to perform 15,000 transactions per second. It also promises to be able to scale up to hundreds of thousands of transactions per second as demand increases (nb: you may see the term 'scalability' on various projects including this one). Its primary goal is to create a decentralised network that can provide the same or better performance than centralised networks. In addition, the Elrond network plans to offer users greater privacy. (translated) ### **The Secure Proof of Stake (SPoS)** At the heart of Elrond is the Secure Proof of Stake (SPoS). It is a Proof of Stake governance mechanism that synchronises the distributed network of computers running its blockchain. Similar to traditional PoS, SPoS is used by the computers running the Elrond software to secure the network. SPoS also validates transactions and distributes newly minted EGLD coins. However, because the Elrond network consists of fragments rather than a single chain, its SPoS consensus mechanism is used to select validation nodes to produce blocks in a fragment rather than the entire network. To achieve final settlement, validators check the work of block producers and synchronise with other fragments in the network. Once a batch of transactions is successfully added to the Elrond blockchain, these contributors are rewarded with EGLD tokens. Offsetra, an expert sustainability organisation, analysed the energy consumption of more than 5,000 servers in dozens of countries on six continents, the additional impact generated by operations and product development, and the network that links them. When you place your NFT on Scove.io via an auction, your NFT is sent to a decentralised smart-contract. You have the choice to set some options: * The date and time of the start of the auction * The end date of the auction: when the auction ends, the highest bidder wins, if the minimum price is not reached (reserve price), the owner can recover his NFT * Starting price: bids below this price will not be accepted * Reserve price: If this price is not reached at the end of the auction, the NFT is not sold. * The acceptance price: Once this price is reached, the auction will be automatically concluded, the NFT will be awarded to the buyer and the EGLDs sent to the seller. # How to submit an offer? You can send an offer to buy an NFT to any Scove user. The user who owns the NFT will have the choice to accept or not your offer. If the seller accepts your offer, your offer will be deducted and you will be able to claim your NFT. # Create your NFT! Scove.io gives you the possibility to **create your own NFT collection without any fees**. However, you need to prepare some elements to create a collection: ### To prepare before creating your NFT on Scove.io In order to create your own NFT on Scove.io, you have to **create a collection** via this same page on Scove. **On Elrond blockchain, each NFT must be linked to a collection!** You have the choice to create 2 types of collections: * An **SFT** collection: Each NFT created will be **identical** to the others but in **variable quantity**. * An **NFT** collection: Each NFT created will be **unique** and with a **fixed quantity**. **When you create a collection you must fill in this information:** * **Name** of your collection * **Collection** **ticker.** Example: **SCOVE**. At the time of creation this name will be transformed into TICKER. Example: **SCOVE-127252**. Royalties are a percentage paid to the original creator of the NFT from each sale. These percentages are set by the creator of the NFT and him alone. This allows the projects to develop with these funds. ## Scove.io related fees We have set our marketplace fee at 2.5%. We are likely to decrease this amount in the future. The fees collected by Scove.io allow us to keep the infrastructure up to date and to finance the development of future features that we will offer you. # Ranking In order to help you find your way through the scarcity of NFTs and to provide projects that have difficulty establishing a **ranking system**, we have created our own system. These ranks are for **information purposes only** and are not official. When official ranks are available and provided by the project in question, we will endeavour to put them on Scove.io as soon as possible. When a rank is official (provided by the collection), you can see a small "official" badge next to this rank, otherwise it is the informative rank provided by Scove. One of them is the **SCAM** (a fraudulent or deceptive act or transaction, with the aim of scamming you). This can be done by malicious people pretending to be official members of a project team. Or by promising to save you transaction fees by doing a P2P (Peer-to-Peer) transaction without a trusted intermediary (a Market Place like Scove.io is a trusted intermediary) and end up never sending you the money or the NFT due once you have made your upload. {% hint style="danger" %} Scove will NEVER ask you to send NFTs or other items via discord. {% endhint %} Also, one of the techniques used by hackers is "**phishing**", which consists of sending you a malicious link asking you to log in or send your login and password in order to retrieve information, money and NFT. {% hint style="danger" %} Scove will NEVER ask you for your login information on discord or any other means! {% endhint %} **How will we protect you from this?** The safety of our users is our priority!
